The 40 inch mirror being made ready for a new telescope to be installed at Robert Ferguson Observatory…
It will eventually replace the 24 inch currently in service in the west wing.
Friday night we rolled it out of the shop for testing…
we have about two months of polishing left to go before silvering it..

Robert Ferguson Observatory volunteers (myself included) are in the process of constructing a new 40 inch telescope to replace the existing 24 inch scope located in the East Wing of the observatory located in Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, Sonoma County California ….
